About Us

We’d love to welcome you to our historic village church!
Our Sunday service starts at 10:45am, and there’s always a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

We enjoy a mix of traditional and modern worship, so whether you're new to church or have been coming for years, there’s something for everyone. When needed, we also offer age‑related teaching groups so children and young people can explore faith in a way that suits them.

Each week is a little different — various members of our church family lead the service, bringing their own style and personality. You’ll also hear a short, engaging talk that usually lasts about 20 minutes.

We believe prayer is at the heart of our church life, and we want to be a community that’s loving, open, and free from judgement. There’s always something happening during the week — from Cuppa@Carey to Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade — and everyone is welcome to get involved.

To explore everything we offer, take a look at our Church Life section.

Our church community has been meeting here since 1676, and we’re named after William Carey, an inspiring figure who helped found the Baptist Missionary Society and once served as minister here.

We’d love to welcome you too. Use the menu to discover more about what’s going on, and if you’re new to the church or the area, check out our New to Church page — it’s a great place to start.
